Scholarships
International mathematics students who do not receive financial support can apply for a scholarship to cover the fees of the Intensive German language and orientation course (six week compact course before the start of the lecture period) offered by RefIntA (ISGS).
Furthermore, the department awards scholarships to outstanding international candidates of the Master's programmes to cover the cost of living for the first academic year. The informal application for a scholarship can be sent along with the application for the Master's programme. In line with the admission to the study programme, the selection committee decides on the scholarships.
As part of the STIBET programme, RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau grants scholarships to international Master's students to cover the cost of living. The application has to be submitted to the Stipendien AG and the selection is taken by the scholarship committee of RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau. Students who have already passed examinations with above-average results at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau have a good chance of being supported. More detailed information can be found on the websites of the Stipendien AG.
Advice for employment as a research assistant: Within walking distance to RPTU's campus in Kaiserslautern, one can find a variety of research institutes (such as the Fraunhofer ITWM), which are constantly looking for qualified scientific assistants. Most job offers require good programming skills.
