University Ranking 2024: Once again top results for Maths in KL

The CHE University Ranking 2024 sees the Department of Mathematics at RPTU in Kaiserslautern in the top group of all German universities in all ranked categories of student evaluation as well as in the categories for the evaluation of research.

In the key category "General study situation", the Department of Mathematics at RPTU is the only mathematics department participating in the ranking to achieve the top score of 5 stars (rating: 4.8). Top scores were also achieved in the categories "Study organisation", "Support during studies" and "Support for studying abroad". Throughout the ranking, the top results from the last ranking in 2021 were confirmed (also under the university's new name since 1 January 2023).

In addition to the top positions in the student judgements, the current ranking also (once again) shows top positions in all three research-related criteria. While in the category "Research funding per researcher", the department just missed the podium with 5th place, it achieved 1st place in the category "Doctorates per professor".

With around 120,000 students surveyed, the CHE University Ranking has been the most comprehensive and detailed comparison of universities in the German-speaking world for more than 25 years. The ranking includes students' assessments of the study conditions at their university as well as facts on study, teaching and research for more than 10,000 degree programmes at German universities.
