Training camp for the Maths Olympiad at RPTU
As has been a tradition for many years, the training and selection camp for the best Rhineland-Palatinate participants in the Maths Olympiad (grades 7 to 13) will once again take place at RPTU in Kaiserslautern this year.
From 11 to 15 March 2024, 36 young mathematicians will be guests at the RPTU in Kaiserslautern to train at the "Maths Camp" for the national round of the Mathematical Olympiad in summer 2024 and to secure their place in the final round through a selection exam.
The camp is organised by the state representative for Mathematical Olympiads, Steffen Marhold (Westerwaldgymnasium Altenkirchen), Matthias Reichel (Lise-Meitner Gymnasium Maxdorf) and Henry Jäger (RPTU in Kaiserslautern). They can once again count on the active support of numerous teachers, students and scientists from the Department of Mathematics.
At the end of the camp, a festive event will take place on Friday afternoon in the lecture hall of the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics (ITWM), during which the nomination of the RLP team for the national round will be announced.
