Ageing Smart
The research project Ageing Smart is funded by the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung from 01 April 2021 for a period of 5 years.
Description
The project consortium adresses social challenges affected by demographic changes and digitization. Currently, the baby boomers born between 1955 and 1969 represent around one-fifth of the total population in Germany. Many people of this baby boomer generation live in areas that have to adapt their supply structures due to demographic developments and digitalization. The project brings together spatial planning and sociological issues on the one hand with the methods of artificial intelligence, software development and mathematical optimization on the other. The aim is to develop a decision support system for public actors to optimize infrastructures and services at the local level.
