Sascha Desmettre who has been a member of the Financial Mathematics Group for many years has been offered a Tenure-Track Professorship of Financial Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling in Economics at the Johannes-Kepler University Linz in Austria. He has accepted the offer and started work in Linz on December 1, 2019.

Sascha Desmettre studied at the TU Kaiserslautern and did his PhD at the Fraunhofer ITWM. In November 2018 he successfully achieved the habilitation at the Department of Mathematics of the TU Kaiserslautern. In the recent months he had a PostDoc position at the Karl-Franzens University of Graz in Austria.
