Felix Klein Colloquium: Why do many large complex networks look similar?

Logo Felix-Klein-Zentrum für Mathematik

In the talk a possible answer to the question in the title is offered by defining a random network model that is constructed from simple and universal principles and by showing that typical features of large networks, like small-world effect, robustness and clustering, emerge from this construction.

Speaker: Prof. Dr. Peter Mörters, University of Cologne

Time: 17:15 - 18:30 o'clock

Place: Building 48, room 210

The lectures of the Felix Klein Colloquium will be held at 17:15 in room 210 of the Mathematics Building 48. Beforehand - from 16:45 - there will be an opportunity to meet the speaker at the colloquium tea in room 580.
