The concept of supervision/assistance for the PhD studies in the RTG 1932 provides for three levels:

Level 1: Supervision by Principal and  Associated Investigators

• research and qualification plan set up jointly by the student and the supervisors (incl. milestones)
• (at least) half-yearly presentation and elaborate discussion of the status of the research work / revision of planning
• planning of participation at conferences

Level 2: Group supervision by the two Postdocs of the RTG

• qualification plan softskills
• basic research skills

Level 3: Mentors at the Fraunhofer ITWM

• experience/assistance in the interdisciplinary projects
• extra-universitary contact persons / contact to the PhD students at the ITWM
