Abstract:

Let g = gl_n(k) be the general linear Lie algebra over an algebraically closed eld k of positive charac-
teristic. The crucial representations of g to understand are those associated to the reduced enveloping
algebras U_χ(g) for a nilpotent  χ∈g‡^*. After recapping some theory of U_χ(g) and its representations, we
explain how they can be studied via representations of restricted truncated shifted Yangians. Then we
present some consequences, in particular to the case where  is a two-row nilpotent.
